We really got our money's worth at Auberge La Camarine. The room was spacious, comfortable, and surprisingly quiet despite being close to a road. The location was fantastic, with plenty of nature activities nearby and easy access to Québec City. The staff were friendly and helpful, even speaking English.
The breakfast could have been improved with more variety and an earlier serving time.

Quiet A/C system.
It was disappointing. The hotel web site give the impression of something charming and romantic. The reality is otherwise: noise from the highway, no view to the river. Room was comfortable but a bit dark (small window). There was a fire place but no refrigerator (it 30+ °C outside).

The staff was very friendly and accommodating. They made sure we had a room that we requested - for a handicap person. However, there was no room for the wheelchair in the room so it was a good thing my husband could walk a little. The inn itself was very unique and old fashioned. The patio for dining in the summer was also unique. The dining was more on the higher cuisine - not your everyday meals.
The room had no air conditioning which was a necessity that weekend we were there. There was no bar fridge where we could keep any refreshments for evening use. I guess they wanted you to use their bar. There were a lot of stairs no matter where you wanted to go - to the front desk, to the bar, to the dining room. We could have had a meal on the patio - that's the only place my husband could walk to.
